Exciting time to start career, says Chandra

CHENNAI: India is going to be in a low growth, high inflation environment this year and also probably in the long term, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran said on Wednesday.
“Just when we thought the pandemic was over, the global economy was doing well, and we are going to be in a high growth environment, we see a supply chain crisis, commodity prices crisis, a war, and suddenly the global growth tapers down,” he said. Despite these factors, it is the most exciting time to start one’s career, especially in India, he added.
The industry titan was speaking at the 59th convocation ceremony of IIT-Madras, where he was the chief guest. Chandrasekaran further added that sustainability and energy transition is an urgent and real need.
