Vadodara: The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) has roped in a former India cricketer as the bowling coach for its senior women’s team. Rumeli Dhar, who has a vast experience in international cricket, will join the team this season.
BCA officials said that Dhar will work on improving the bowling of senior women and also identify talented young girls for the team. Dhar played her first One Day International match against England in 2003. She has represented India for 15 years from 2003 to 2018.
The 39-year-old ex-cricketer has played 78 ODIs, four Test matches and 18 T20 internationals.
Dhar, a medium pace bowler and right-hand batsman, was part of the Indian team that reached the finals of 2005 World Cup. She was joint-leading wicket taker in the 2009 World T20 tournament.
