Two arrested for anti-national activity ahead of PM’s Patna visit

PATNA: A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on Tuesday, Patna police arrested two people for their alleged anti-national activities and trying to infuse communalism in others. While one Mohammad Jalaluddin is a retired sub-inspector of Jharkhand police, another Athar Parwez is a former SIMI member and presently active PFI member. The duo was arrested from Phulwarisharif locality of Patna.
As per the statement shared by the police, both used to hold anti-national meetings and chalk out anti-national strategies. There was PFI office in Jalaluddin’s house. Local, state and national level PFI/SDPI members used to participate in these meetings. The release further stated that on July 6 and 7 it was revealed that terror activities, training in arms, physical training were imparted at the PFI office and large number were trained secretly. These people were further asked to impart trainings to other in their areas and inspire them towards religious frenzy. Extremists from outside state also participate in these meetings.
“On the basis of above facts, raids were carried out and PFI flags, pamphlet, booklet, secret documents with the mission to make India a Islamic state by 2047 were recovered. This was to create poison between the two communities and call on other nations against the country,” read a part of the press release.
