The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in its draft charges filed on Tuesday against actor Rhea Chakraborty, claimed that the actor received multiple deliveries of ganja from the coaccused, including her brother Showik, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant among others, and these were handed over to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The central anti-drug agency had filed the draft charges last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against all the 35 accused and the details of these were made available on Tuesday.
The NCB has said she made payments for those deliveries at the instance Showik and Sushant between Mar 2020 to Sep 2020 and thereby committed offences under the NDPS law. It has invoked the stringent provision of Sec 27A of the Act pertaining to illicit trafficking and harbouring offenders, which could attract a minimum of 10 years imprisonment up to 20 years in prison.
The agency had filed a voluminous 11,700 page chargesheet last March. It has retained the charges in the chargesheet.
