KEC International(up 9.56%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(up 2.61%), Alstom T&D India(up 1.77%), Energy Development Company(up 1.49%), GE Power India Limited(up 1.47%), Hitachi Energy India(up 1.37%), NHPC(up 1.36%), Torrent Power(up 1.25%), NTPC(up 1.02%) and DPSC(up 0.79%) stood among the top gainers.
ADANIGREEN(down 8.28%), Karma Energy(down 4.87%), Orient Green Power Company(down 4.48%), Suzlon Energy(down 4.44%), KPI Green Energy(down 4.32%), Inox Wind Energy(down 4.02%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.61%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 2.31%), Adani Power(down 2.08%) and JSW Energy(down 1.93%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 91.65 points down at 15966.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 372.46 points at 53514.15.
Divis Laboratories(up 2.48%), JSW Steel(up 2.46%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.97%), Cipla(up 1.88%), Asian Paints(up 1.66%), Grasim Industries(up 1.38%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.34%), NTPC(up 1.02%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.0%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.81%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 3.31%), Bharti Airtel(down 2.94%), HDFC(down 2.78%), HDFC Bank(down 2.44%), Reliance Industries(down 1.77%), Enterprises(down 1.56%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.49%), Shree Cement(down 1.13%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.12%) and HCL Technologies(down 1.08%) closed in the red.
