ED files reply opposing Singhal’s bail plea

Ranchi: The special PMLA court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal’s bail petition to July 19. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed its reply opposing Singhal’s bail plea.
Vishwajit Mukherjee, senior advocate representing Singhal, said, “The ED was supposed to file its reply by Monday but it did it today (Tuesday). Since the reply was filed in the morning, it was not possible on our part to argue at such a short notice. The case was adjourned by a week.”
Singhal had filed the petition on June 27 seeking bail on health ground. tnn
