Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.42% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:21AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Macrotech Developers(up 2.54 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.76 per cent), DLF(up 0.33 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.24 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.38 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.42 per cent at 419.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 25.0 points at 16083.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 80.79 points at 53967.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of , Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GRP Ltd, , , and DSJ Comm hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Ltd., and HCL Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
