In an unfortunate incident, three members of a family from Sangli got swept away off the coast of Salah al-Mughsail in Oman; the father who got washed away with two children is reported to have died. The unfortunate incident took place on Sunday (July 12) afternoon when three persons from Sanglis' Jat taluka were swept away by the sea waves in Oman.

According to a report, Shashikant Mhamane, his nine-year-old daughter Shruti and six-year-old son Shreyas have been swept away. They have not yet been discovered at sea.
Shashikant's brother Advocate Rajkumar Mhamane confirmed the news.
Originally from Jat, Shashikant Mhamane had been working as a sales manager for a company in Dubai for the past several years. He was living in Dubai with his wife Sarika, son Shreyas, daughter Shruti and another daughter (name not known yet).
Shashikant, who died on Bakri Eid, was travelling with his wife, children and friends to Oman as he had a holiday and that’s when the unfortunate incident took place.
