Students come out after writing the Patna University entrance exam 2022 at Magadh Mahila College in Patna on Tuesday
PATNA: The common entrance test for admission to the three-year degree courses in arts, science and commerce streams in colleges of Patna University (PU) in 2022-23 session was held peacefully and fairly here on Tuesday. Over 13,000 aspirants had applied for the test and more than 80 per cent of them took the test.
B N College principal and PU common entrance test nodal officer Raj Kishore Prasad said the entrance test was held from 2pm to 4.30pm at 12 different centres, including Patna Science College, Patna College, Vanijya Mahavidylaya, B N College, Magadh Mahila College, Patna Women’s College, A N College, T P S College, College of Commerce, Arts and Science, J D Women’s College, Arvind Mahila College and B D Public School, in the city. Police and magistrates besides observers were posted at all the centres. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere, said Prasad.
The results of the multiple-choice objective entrance test would be announced within a week following which the process of admission would start.The total number of sanctioned seats in undergraduate courses against which students would be admitted on the basis of their performance in entrance test are Patna College (930), Patna Science College (750), B N College (1130), Magadh Mahila College (1156), and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya (525).
Prasad said the entrance for admission to the undergraduate self-financing (vocational) courses in colleges of PU will be held on Wednesday at three centres, namely, Magadh Mahila College, Vanijya Mahavidyalaya and B N College. As many as 2317 boys and girls have applied for the test.
The three-year degree vocational courses running in different colleges of PU are Functional English (Patna College and B N College), BCA (B N College, Patna Science College, Magadh Mahila College, and Directorate of Distance Education ), BBA (Patna College, B N College, Magadh Mahila College), Biotechnology (Patna Science College and B N College), Mass Communications (Patna College), Environmental Science (Patna Science College) and Social Work (Magadh Mahila College).
