Escorts Kubota(up 1.95 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 1.45 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(up 0.94 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 0.83 per cent) and MRF(up 0.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TIINDIA(down 0.88 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.51 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.26 per cent), Bosch(down 0.15 per cent) and Eicher Motors(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.1 per cent at 12120.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 19.3 points at 16077.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 68.67 points at 53955.28.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of , Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GRP Ltd, , , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Ltd., HCL Tech and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
