Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel visits flood-affected areas

VADODARA: Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel visited flood-affected areas in Chhota Udepur, Narmada and Navsari districts on Tuesday. Thousands from the districts were shifted to safer locations following very heavy rain. The district administration is also distributing food packets and medicines to the affected persons. Before visiting the affected areas, CM also did aerial survey of the districts.
Patel visited Bodeli taluka which was one of the worst affected regions and met those affected by the floods. He also directed the officials to restore the power in all the affected villages at the earliest. CM assured the flood victims of all the help.
Later in the day, CM met flood victims in the Narmada district and did an aerial survey of the affected areas. Patel met the families of the two persons who got swept away in the Karjan river.
He later held a meeting with Narmada district administration officials and directed them to take up the relief work in mission mode. In the evening CM visited shelter home in Navsari district. Number of place of Navsari got inundated due to rise in water level in Purna river.
