8 more Covid-19 cases in Andamans
Eight more people were afflicted with Covid-19 in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, six less than the previous day, taking the tally to 10,261 on Wednesday, a health bulletin stated. The test positivity rate was 1.97 per cent as 407 samples were tested in the previous day, it added. There are 43 active cases and nine more patients recuperated in the past 24 hours, taking the recoveries to 10,089. The toll remained at 129 as there were no more deaths.
Puducherry witnesses rise in new Covid-19 cases
The Union Territory of Puducherry on Wednesday saw a marginal rise in number of new Covid-19 cases with 174 fresh cases registered during the last 24 hours. Such cases numbered 165 on Tuesday. The overall caseload was 1,68,053, said a bulletin. Director of Health G.Sriramulu said the Health Department tested 2,341 samples.
