Taking a strong note of the objections raised by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak over irregularities in large-scale transfers in the health department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a probe in the matter.
UP Dy CM Pathak, who holds charge of the health dept., had written a letter raising questions over large-scale transfers without his knowledge.
CM Yogi on Tuesday instituted an enquiry into the allegations of Dy CM and sought a report in the next two days.
CM has further asked the officials to look into the matter and submit a report to him.
A three-member enquiry team has been formed which will be headed by Chief Secretary DS Mishra with Additional Chief Secretaries Awaneesh Awasthi and Sanjay Bhoosreddy as its members.
Earlier in the day, the Dy CM had written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Health, Amit Mohan Prasad, seeking details of all transfers made in the recent past and the reasons behind them.
It may be mentioned that the Yogi government has issued a new transfer policy last month. After the new policy was enforced, thousands of transfers were made in various departments of the state in the past one week. As per the policy, the transfers were to be made between June 15 to June 30.
The Dy CM, in his letter, had questioned the transfers made in his department and said that policy was not followed properly. He said that a large number of doctors were transferred from big hospitals, including Lucknow and other districts, and no replacement was given. However, the ACS, Health, Amit Mohan, refuted the allegations of Dy CM Pathak and said that all transfers were made as per the state guidelines.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, former Congress leader in legislative council Deepak Singh wrote a letter to CM Yogi saying a big scam has been done in the transfers of various departments in the recent past. He has demanded enquiry from Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the transfers made recently.
