136 new Covid cases, +vity rate at 3.8%

Gurgaon: The city reported 136 new Covid-19 cases on Monday. It had recorded 142 caseson Sunday. The positivity rate saw a marginal dip from 4% on Sunday to 3.8% on Monday.
The city at present has 643 active cases, out of which 19 patients are hospitalised.
The health department conducted 3,532 tests on Monday, while 3,481 samples were tested on Sunday.
Gurgaon logged a total of 8,046 cases in June, compared to 7,619 in May and 5,894 in April.
“We are witnessing a decline in Covid cases at present. However, people need to be careful as change in weather conditions could trigger a spike. It is important to note that the booster doses will help increase immunity alevel gainst the virus,” said Virender Yadav, chief medical officer, Gurgaon.
Haryana, meanwhile, reported two deaths and 269 new cases on Monday. The state now has 1,734 active cases, while the positivity rate is 2.2%. The cumulative Covid count of the state has gone up to 10,20,001 cases, while it reported 10,07,614 recoveries, 10,630 deaths. Haryana has 1,734 active cases, of which 80 patients are hospitalised. A total of 29,350 were vaccinated on Monday. The cumulative vaccination coverage of the state has reached 4,42,45,659.
