The relatives of Jawan Naresh Jat, who shot himself in his quarters at the Jodhpur training centre of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday, refused to take his body. The relatives have also lodged an FIR in the matter against some of Naresh’s colleagues for instigating him to commit suicide.
Naresh's father Likhmaram has demanded the immediate arrest of the accused named in the FIR and a judicial inquiry.
Apart from this, the relatives have demanded a government job for Naresh's 6-year-old daughter Kanishka, on attaining a majority; a lifelong pension to wife Urmila and the cost of the daughter's education to be borne by the CRPF. The funeral of the jawan at his ancestral village with a Guard of honour has also been demanded.
Meanwhile, Naresh's father has called Jodhpur MP Hanuman Beniwal to hold talks with CRPF officials.
In the meantime, two cases, one by the relatives of the jawan, and the other by the CRPF have been registered at the Karvad police station. The family has registered a case of instigating suicide against ASI Satveer and others, while the CRPF has registered a case of suicide.
Notably, the deceased Jawan Naresh Jat had made a video of himself before the suicide along with a suicide note in which he revealed the problems he was facing in the camp.
Names of several officers have been mentioned in the suicide note. Based on the same, the father of the deceased lodged the case.
The video of Naresh is getting viral in which he can be heard saying that his complaints were not being heard.
Moreover, audio has also surfaced in which CRPF IG Vikram Sahgal is talking to Naresh and trying to exhort him. The audio is said to be from a few hours before Naresh committed suicide.
