Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Railways will earn an additional revenue of Rs 10 lakh per year from advertisement contract on locomotives in the electric loco shed New Katni Junction to West-Central Railways (WCR).
West Central Railway is providing state of the art facilities to the stations under Non Fare Revenue (NFR) by implementing the new innovative Non Fare Revenue Consideration Scheme (NINFRIS), according to Railway officials.
Under the contract, 05 electric locomotives have been selected for display of advertisement. The advertising contract will increase the railway revenue by Rs 2 lakh per locomotive to a total of Rs 10 lakh annually. The contract is the highest-grossing ever contract awarded by the division in terms of annual value per locomotive. The locomotives/electric locomotives will be updated as per RDSO specified standards by means of state-of-the-art PU (Polyurethane) painting.
The Commerce Department of Jabalpur Division has been working to provide state-of-the-art facilities under Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) as well generating additional revenue. Under NFR, for the first time the contract for advertisement on locomotives has been awarded at Electric Loco Shed New Katni Junction.
