LUCKNOW: Meerut boy Saumitra Garg (19) scored a perfect 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) 2022 for session 1 to emerge as the only candidate from
Uttar Pradesh to join the league of 14 nationwide toppers.
Lucknow topper Utkarsh Lohiya, who scored 99.6 percentile, bagged the fifth position nationally in the reserved category. The result of JEE-Main was announced on Monday.
Delighted to have scored a centum, Saumitra, a student of Delhi Public School, Meerut, said: "My paper went well and I was confident of getting a good score but 100 percentile was beyond my expectations." Saumitra aspires to be a software engineer and is now gearing up for JEE-Advanced which will be held on August 28.
