Ranchi: Residents in and around Ratu Road here on Monday evening burst crackers and distributed sweets to thank Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and Union minister for road and highways,
Nitin Gadkari, for the elevated corridor project, the foundation of which will be laid by Modi during his visit to the state on Tuesday.
Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth led a procession in the city on the occasion and he described the as the most successful point of his career. He said, “I am ever thankful to Gadkari ji for approving the elevated stretch between Piska More and Kutchery Chowk. The commuters in this area have been suffering for the last four decades. It gives me immense pleasure that Modi ji is going to lay the foundation for the project.”
Deepak Ojha, a Piska More resident, said, “I have been experiencing huge traffic jams since my school days and now I see that my small kid, too, faces the same problem. With elevated corridor, people will benefit as the traffic jams will be a thing of the past and we thank our MP for getting it approved.”
