VADODARA: Students from the city cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2022 with flying colours as the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday declared the results of session 1 of JEE (Main) 2022 that was conducted on June 30.
City lad Tanmay Mittal bagged NTA score 99.989. “I was undergoing coaching for JEE for the last four years, since the time I was in class 8. Now, my focus is on clearing JEE (Advanced) and hopefully, get into one of the top IITs,” said Tanmay, a student of Navrachana School, Sama.
“I have received tremendous support from my parents, family members and teachers at both my school as well as coaching institute,” said Tanmay, whose father Sanjeev Mittal is a deputy general manager at Hero Motocorp, Halol, while mother Renu Mittal is a homemaker.
“I also received guidance from my elder brother Mridul who had cracked JEE three years ago and is currently pursuing CS at IIIT Allahabad,” he said.
Divij Rawal, a student of Delhi Public School, who scored 99.968 percentile was preparing for JEE since he was in class 11 while he started preparing for other competitive exams from class nine.
“I am focusing on JEE (Advanced). Also, I will be appearing for some interviews at the Indian Statistical Institute. I would prefer to get into CS in any of the IITs,” said Divij, whose father Drij Rawal is a business consultant while mother Sandhya Rawal works with a private firm.
Unlike his parents, both of whom are doctors, Vraj Parikh, has set his eyes on IITs. Usually, sons and daughters of doctors prefer a career in medicine. But Vraj, whose father Dr Samir Parikh is a pathologist and mother Dr Minal Parikh is an ophthalmologist, wants to pursue CS.
A student of Green Valley High School, Vraj scored 99.956 percentile.
