Madhya Pradesh: Heavy rain lashes Ashta for 16 hours

According to information, rain started from 6:00 pm on Sunday, which continued to rain throughout the night and it lasted till 11:00 am on Monday.

Ashta (Madhya Pradesh): The rainfall, which started in Ashta tehsil of Sehore district from Sunday evening, continued to lash the city till Monday noon. It rained heavily and water flooded the city and its streets. Locals suffered due to waterlogging in low-lying areas.

According to information, rain started from 6:00 pm on Sunday, which continued to rain throughout the night and it lasted till 11:00 am on Monday. There has been rain in the area for a total of 16 hours. Due to incessant rain, there is a strong flow of water in the Parvati river. Due to the floodwater, a large number of garbage and wood logs were stuck in the bridge near Parvati river; it should be removed by the municipality immediately, otherwise the bridge may be damaged.

City stunned by 16 hours of rain

For the last three days there was no rainfall, but as it rained for 16 hours since Sunday evening, the whole area got submerged in water. On Sunday night, there was heavy rain followed by a thunderstorm, the fields were flooded with rain.
