Guna: Five injured as car falls into Parbati river

Tomar along with wife Ruchi, son and daughter and one more person were travelling from Bhopal to Gwalior when the untoward incident took place at 10 am on Monday.

Guna (Madhya Pradesh): As many as five people have been injured when a car in which former CM security personnel along with his family were travelling, fell down into Parbati river in Guna district.

As per details, the incident took place on the bridge built on Parbati River located along the National Highway (NH) around 30 km away from Guna district when the driver of the car, carrying the family of former CM Kamal Nath’s security personnel Jai Singh Tomar (posted in Sashastra Bal), lost control over the vehicle while saving a stray cow on the bridge and skidded off the road and fell into Parbati river.

Tomar along with wife Ruchi, son and daughter and one more person were travelling from Bhopal to Gwalior when the untoward incident took place at 10 am on Monday. While all the injured members were rushed to the district hospital for primary treatment. Wife Ruchi has been referred to Bhopal hospital due to severe injuries.

On being informed, district Congress president Harishankar Vijayvargiya along with other leaders rushed to the hospital and directed the district administration to provide best medical care to the injured.

Notably, during Kamal Nath’s tenure, Tomar was one of the members of his security squad. At present he is posted in Bhopal. Due to climate change, road accidents during monsoon have increased in the area.
