Govt transfers 18 IAS officers in major reshuffle, Rahul Sinha is new Ranchi DC

Ranchi: In a major reshuffle, the state government has transferred and assigned new roles to 18 senior IAS officers, including secretaries, commissioners and deputy commissioners, in various departments and districts.
According to a notification issued by the personnel, administrative reform and Rajbhasha department late on Saturday night, the divisional commissioner of south Chhotanagpur, Nitin Madan Kulkarni, has been transferred as chairman of the state finance commission. The secretary of labour employment and training, Praveen Kumar Toppo, has replaced Kulkarni.
The director of tourism, Rahul Kumar Sinha, has been made the Ranchi DC while incumbent DC Chhavi Ranjan, has been posted as the director of social welfare. Ranjan will also be the director of social security.
The director of Shree Krishna Institute of Public Administration, K Srinivas, will now have the additional charge as secretary of the labour employment and training department and also serve as the labour commissioner of the state. Moreover, the secretary of planning and development, Rahul Sharma, has been given additional charge as principal secretary to governor.
Special secretary (higher and technical education department) Kamaleshwar Prasad Singh has been transferred as the excise commissioner. He will have the additional charge as managing director of the Jharkhand Beverage Corporation.
Excise commissioner Amit Kumar has been posted as director (mines) and will have the additional charge as the managing director of the state mineral development corporation limited. The divisional commissioner (in charge) of north Chhotanagpur, Chandra Kishore Oraon, will have the additional charge as the commissioner Santhal Paragana division.
Mukesh Kumar, the town commissioner of RMC, has been shifted as the commissioner of the tribal welfare department.
Latehar DC Abu Imran has been transferred as Chatra DC. The director of social welfare, A Dodde, has been posted as Palamu DC and the project director of the Jharkhand AIDS Control Society, Bhuwanesh Pratap Singh, will have the additional charge of the National Health Mission.
NHM state mission director Aditya Kumar Anand has been posted as the director of the town administration, town development and housing department. The sports department director, Zishan Kamar, will be the new Godda DC. Godda’s current DC, Bhor Singh Yadav, has been transferred as the DC of Latehar. The DC of Palamu, Sashi Ranjan, has been made the commissioner of RMC. The Chatra DC, Anjali Yadav, has been posted as the director of tourism. The last major reshuffle happened in July 2021 when 31 were shifted.
