'Thor: Love and Thunder' Box Office Collection Day 4: Chris Hemsworth's film earns Rs 45.42 cr over the weekend

The film marks Christian Bale's debut in the Marvel universe.

The much-anticipated Marvel biggie 'Thor: Love and Thunder' recorded a thunderous first weekend at the Indian box office.

The film collected a whopping Rs 23.48 crore on its very first day. It was followed by Rs 14.71 on Friday, Rs 21.68 crore on Saturday and Rs 23.74 crore on Sunday.

With that, the total revenue generated by the film so far in India has mounted to Rs 83.61 crore, making it the fifth biggest weekend for any Hollywood movie in the country.

With a strong word of mouth and loyal fanbase, the numbers are only expected go up this week, with avid Marvel fans flooding the theatres to watch the ultimate showdown between Thor and Gorr the God Butcher.

Oscar winner Taika Waititi's big-ticket cosmic adventure stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, along with a stellar ensemble cast of Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale.

Marvel Studios’ 'Thor: Love and Thunder' is currently in theatres across India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
