Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, wrote to 15 Shiv Sena MLAs and thanked them for supporting him in tough and challenging times and not surrendering to the pressure and threats.
A few days ago a majority of the Sena MLAs led by Eknath Shinde rebelled against the leadership, their demand was to break ties with the NCP and the Congress.
Following the rebellion, the government in Maharashtra fell and Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the chief minister of Maharashtra.
Uddhav Thackeray called for the meeting at Matoshree of all the Shiv Sena leaders. "The agenda is to discuss the party's stand on the presidential election slated to be held on July 18," Raut told news agency PTI.
