PATNA: Several railway employees, including medical director of ECR's superspecialty hospital at Karbighaiya in Patna, Dr R K Verma, have tested positive for coronavirus in the last few days. All the infected staff are in home isolation.
ECR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar said though the severity of the disease is not so alarming this time, railways has issued a fresh guideline for its frontline staff and asked them take maximum care while on duty. "Wearing of mask has been made compulsory for all railway staff as well as passengers," he said.
Danapur senior RPF commandant Prakash Panda said one section of the force has been assisting the state health officers and paramedical staff in conducting Covid test of passengers at Patna Junction.
"Covid test centres have also been set up at Rajendra Nagar Terminal and Danapur stations," he added.
