The cloudburst has not posed any problem for them, said a member of the group of pilgrims from Bantwal.
“We are safe. We were not affected due to the cloudburst. The armed forces are helping us. We are just 28 km away from the Amarnath cave temple,” said Suresh Kotian, who is a part of the group of pilgrims.
Hope to complete yatra
The pilgrims are in constant touch with Devdas Shetty of the Bantwal Urban Development Authority (BUDA) and Bantwal MLA U Rajesh Naik.
The team hopes to complete the Amarnath yatra before returning home.
Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Rajendra K V has appealed to the relatives of pilgrims, to contact control room 1077, and share any information about the pilgrims.
