3 in auto snatch phone

Chandigarh: Unidentified miscreants in an auto-rickshaw allegedly snatched a mobile phone from a pedestrian in Industrial Area, Phase I. Anil Kumar, a resident of Sector 30, was walking to his workplace, a steel factory, when he took out his phone to call a relative near Colony Number 4 light point. The accused came from behind and snatched his phone. In another incident, police arrested Suresh Kumar Mandal (36) and Samardeep (27), both residents of Dadumajra colony, for snatching a mobile phone and cash near the small chowk at PGI. Police registered cases under relevant sections. tnn
