Chandigarh: Punjab revenue minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said on Saturday that the strike call given by Punjab Revenue Officers’ Association from July 11 would be considered as illegal, anti-development and against public interest as a few individuals under the banner of the association were misusing their position to mislead staffers.
He said the state government would not succumb to any pressure tactics by the association and it would not hesitate to take action against employees who try to hinder work just to put pressure for personal benefits. Majority of the employees did not approve of such kind of pressure tactics and the state government was fully committed to the welfare of all employees, he said. The minister urged all staff to continue hard work for the welfare of state. He also claimed that he was always available for them in case they face any problem in discharging their duty.
The revenue minister said that the Bhagwant Mann government had within no time eradicated corruption in tehsils and our campaign in this direction will continue unabated. “We have tightened the noose around illegal and unauthorised colonies and no registration of plots will be allowed in such colonies,” he said.
An online portal “https://grcs.punjab.gov.in” has also been launched wherein citizens can register the grievances related to the possession of plots, he added. This unique online portal is providing property possession related services in a seamless manner, besides expediting the property possession process.
