Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Kamal Nath's government lasted for 15 months but did not do anything for development. Rather, it made Vallabh Bhavan a den of touts.
“When people talked to him about development, Kamal Nath used to cite financial crunch. But when I became chief minister, I am continuously working for development. I never raised issue of fund shortage for development and welfare of poor in the state,” Chouhan added while addressing public meetings in Raisen, Budni and Ashta on Sunday.
He took part in road shows in Raisen, Budni and Ashta in support of party's councillor candidates.
In his address in Budni, he said that he was indebted to Budni, which contributed to his political growth. “I am paying back the debt by ensuring its development. Many development works are going on in Budni. A 750-bed medical college worth Rs 500 crore will be built where people of surrounding areas will also benefit,” he added.
Speaking further, Chouhan said that state government had requested Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for development of Budni. National Highway will pass through Budni, which will provide connectivity to major Indian cities and expedite its development.
“We will build CM Rise School at a cost of 28 crore, which will have state-of-the-art education facilities with lab, library and bus system for children,” he added.
Addressing the public meeting in Ashta, he said it was his responsibility to execute what was promised for development of Ashta.
“If you want development of Ashta, then vote for BJP. I will make your dream of becoming entrepreneurs come true. Under Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, banks will give loans and we will guarantee return of those loans,” he said.
