Ashta: Leopard attacks two villagers, farmers panic

Ashta (Madhya Pradesh): Panic spread among villagers of Mithupura village in Ashta tehsil in Sehore district after they spotted a leopard sitting in the bushes of a farmer field on Sunday.

On receiving information, forest officials including Rajesh Chauhan, Raju Gade along with beat guard Shailesh Singh reached the spot.

A large number of villagers had gathered at the spot, who were instructed by the officials to stay away from there. Hearing the voice of the crowd, the leopard sitting in the bush suddenly attacked Meharban Singh and Devkaran. The injured persons were sent to Civil Hospital in Ashta for treatment. The leopard was chased away to the forest. The villagers were told to remain vigilant while working on farms.
