Jharkhand reports 1 more Covid death, 125 new cases

RANCHI: State reported 125 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death on Saturday, taking the total number of active Covid cases in Jharkhand to 602.
Anand Srivastava, the advisor to Medica Hospitals group said, “The 77-year-old patient was suffering from Covid pneumonia and had developed sepsis during treatment and passed away at 3:17 on Saturday afternoon.”
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Chhavi Ranjan reviewed the progress of compensation disbursement to next of kin of those who died due to Covid-19. A total of 1,042 applications of the dependents regarding compensation have been approved and payments made to them.
