Jazzy Ballerini, who hails from London, is currently seen in Anandi Baa Aur Emily. The TV show also stars Kanchan Gupta and Mishkat Varma. It highlights how the dynamics of a traditional Indian family change due to the arrival of a foreigner bahu. Chaos ensues in their household when Anandi Baa tries to figure out how to get rid of Emily with the help of some family members. The Free Press Journal met her for an exclusive interaction.

When asked how she ended up in the Indian television industry, Jazzy says, “I didn’t have a plan to work in the Indian TV industry as I had no idea how loved and important it is for the people. But when I got the offer, I was very excited after hearing about it all.”

Jazzy reveals that learning Hindi was fun, but it was tough for her. “I love Hindi. It’s so much fun to speak and learn. My friends say I’m cute when I speak Hindi, so hopefully, the public will like it too. It has been hard for me to learn Hindi in such a short time. But now, whenever I get the chance, I speak as much as I can,” she shares.

The debutante has a similar graph as Katrina Kaif, who also is originally from London and came to India to work in the Hindi film industry. “It would be an honour to be compared to such a huge actress, but I still have a long way to go. Hopefully, one day I will be able to create my own name in Bollywood,” Jazzy avers.

On a parting note, Jazzy throws light on her future work strategy. “The main goal is to be in a Bollywood movie. It’s my dream. With lots of hard work and determination, I hope I will make it,” she concludes.
