Ludhiana: The Ludhiana police tracked down a missing 12-year-old boy, Mohit, of Bahadurke village, within four hours after getting information. The boy had left the house around 6.30am on Friday, saying that he was going his school. But he had not returned till evening.
The family started searching for the boy around 4pm. Around 8pm, the family informed Salem Tabri police.
Additional deputy commissioner of police-1 Parminder Singh Heer said, “We were more cautious following the recent murder of a minor boy in the city. After receiving the information, we formed five teams comprising about 40 police personnel. We searched for the boy and also scanned the CCTV cameras installed in the nearby localities. We found that the boy had taken an auto-rickshaw and gone towards the Clock Tower.”
“Further on checking the CCTV cameras at the railway station, which is near the Clock Tower, we found footage of the teenage boy. Thereafter, we found that the boy had reached his maternal aunt’s house in Lucknow. A video call was made to the boy to ensure that he was fine and not under any pressure,” Heer added.
