Sant Hirdaram Nagar: Three-day plantation drive ends

Under the drive, more than 150 saplings were planted in newly adopted villages with the help of newly elected Sarpanch Sarju Bai.

Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Madhya Pradesh): A three-day plantation drive by Sant Hirdaram Institute of Management CSR under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and AICTE's campaign, One Student One Plant, was carried out on Sunday. This campaign was organised under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

Under the drive, more than 150 saplings were planted in newly adopted villages with the help of newly elected Sarpanch Sarju Bai.

Shady plant saplings like banyan and karanji were planted on the first day.

On the second day, medicinal plants like gooseberry, neem, munga etc were planted. On the third day, fruit plants like kabit, jamun, and cilantro were planted. More than 150 girl students of the institute enthusiastically participated in the campaign. On the occasion, Managing Director Hero Gyanchandani and Director Dr Ashish Thakur explained the importance of trees in life, club coordinator Prof Mehaksingh and Prof Sojanya Srivastava congratulated the students.
