Ferry Service Between Tanah Merah and Desaru Coast Sets Sail

(07 July 2022, 11:13 +07)  Desaru Link Ferry Services, a subsidiary of Batam Fast Ferry, has commenced passenger ferry services connecting Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal with Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal in Malaysia.

For the next few months, Batam Fast will operate one round trip service per day from Thursday to Sunday, though this will be extended to include Monday, 11 July as demand for the Hari Raya Haji long weekend is strong.

The journey time is approximately 90 minutes.

“The launch of the ferry service is an exciting and pivotal moment for Desaru Coast,” said Roslina Arbak, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Desaru Development Holdings. “Through this scheduled, fast and convenient cross-border connectivity between Singapore and Johor, we look forward to welcoming more international travellers to Johor and driving tourism for the state.”

To celebrate the launch, Batam Fast has a promotion code available on its website with which customers can purchase discounted tickets at SGD98.
