Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A coaching institute had a fine of Rs 50,000 imposed on it on Friday for painting its advertisement on a public toilet of Indore Municipal Corporation.
IMC officials said that a complaint was received that, in an area under ward No. 48, a coaching institute has painted its advertisement on the walls of a public toilet.
IMC officials said that the coaching class, Success Point, in the Geeta Bhawan area had painted their advertisement. They had also shared their mobile number and address following which the corporation team reached there and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on them.
IMC senior officials said that the IMC teams had been instructed to get alerts over the issue and inspect public toilets within their limits to ensure that no such advertisement is painted on their walls. “Public toilets are for public use and no one will be allowed to paste or paint any commercial advertisement on their walls,” officials added.
