Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from an electric pole in Rajendra outside his workshop in the Banganga area on Saturday. In the diary recovered from him, he stated that he had given money to some people. The police said investigations in the case were underway.
According to police station-in-charge Rajendra Soni, the dead man has been identified as Sanjay Sankare, 47, a resident of Ganesh Dham Colony. He ran a workshop in the area and was found hanging in front of his workshop on Saturday morning. Before taking such an extreme step, he had pasted a tape on his mouth and hands.
No external injury marks were found on the body. A diary was also recovered from him where he mentioned that he had had to borrow money from many people and was unable to repay the amounts as he had also given the money to some people and they were not repaying him. The statements of his family members are being taken down by the police. In the note, he said ‘sorry’ to his mother and wife.
Woman found hanging in toilet at railway platform
A woman was found hanging in the toilet of the railway platform on Friday night. She could not be identified till the filing of this report.
GRP police station-in-charge MA Syed said that an autorickshaw driver spotted the woman hanging from the pipe in the toilet. He informed the railway station officials and GRP. The woman was about 30 years old. A bag was recovered from her, but there were no identification documents in the bag. She was wearing a saree and the police are going to circulate her photos to nearby police stations to establish her identity. The body has been sent for an autopsy.
