On Saturday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After meeting him, the duo reached at BJP national president JP Nadda's residence in Delhi.
In the meeting, the trio discussed the expansion of the Maharashtra cabinet and seat-sharing between the ruling party at the Centre, BJP and Shiv Sena.
Before the meeting, CM Shinde and Fadnavis had also met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in the national capital.
Shinde and Fadnavis to meet PM Modi
The duo are also likely to meet PM Modi today in order to discuss the expansion of the Maharashtra cabinet.
The visit comes as the first tour for Shinde after taking charge of the office as the CM. With the buzz of the Maharashtra cabinet being expanded in two phases doing rounds, the meeting is significant as reportedly the first announcements of the cabinet will be made before the presidential elections.
