Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A meeting on innovation in the Khadi and village industries of Madhya Pradesh was held by Smita Bharadwaj, principal secretary, Cottage and Village Industries Department, on Saturday. Many influential people working in specific areas and holding expertise in the field were invited to attend the meeting. The role of forthcoming schemes regarding development and enhancement of Khadi in the state was discussed at the meeting.

During this, managing director, Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation, Anubha Srivastava, was also present, along with departmental officers. Discussions were held regarding increase in people’s interest towards Handloom Products, targeting the youth population and many other suggestions.

Padma Shri Janak Palta, Padma Shri Bhalu Mondhe, fashion designer Farhat Malik, Sadhna Vyas, cricketer Amay Khurasia, Ranjeet Singh of the traffic police, Indore, famous artist Wajid Khan, Divya Gupta, team of Radio Mirchi, Vaishali Pare, Rakesh Dawani Indori Zaika and many other influencers gave their suggestions.
