Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal railway division registered 73.41% increase in revenue in first quarter of financial year 2022-23. The division earned Rs 456.06 crore as compared to Rs 263 crore earned in the corresponding period last year. Thus, the revenue is up 73.41% per cent.
Out of total, Rs 181.09 crore were earned from fare of 61.49 lakh passengers, Rs 24.60 crore from coaches, Rs 230.60 crore from freight transport, Rs 19.77 crore as miscellaneous income.
Senior divisional manager (commercial) Priyanka Dixit said, “We are constantly striving to increase railway revenue by working with team spirit and will perform better in coming days.” She said that Bhopal divisional railway administration was determined to provide complaint-free service to passengers and made continuous efforts to increase railway revenue.
