Rs 11.38 crores development works start at Kharghar village

The ground-breaking ceremony of all the works was conducted wherein Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur and PMC Mayor Kavita Choutmal were present.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) started a number of development works in Kharghar. The works included garden and village development works in sectors 5, 11, 13 and 20. A total of Rs 11.38 crores has been sanctioned by the corporation for all works.

The ground-breaking ceremony of all the works was conducted wherein Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur and PMC Mayor Kavita Choutmal were present.

According to an official from PMC, the first phase of works started which will be carried out at Rs 4.94 crores.

Kharghar city president Brijesh Patel said that the works will make Kharghar a smart village. “Kharghar village, which has been neglected for many years, will now become a smart village,” said Patel. On the occasion, former standing committee chairperson corporator Pravin Patil, corporator Netra Patil, among others were present.
