Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Three more women investors reached Kohefiza police station and filed complaints that they were cheated in the name of fish farming, the police said on Saturday.
Police sources claimed that the four Prahlad Sharma (49), his son Shubham Sharma (26) and Brijendra Kumar Kashyap and one woman Gyatri Parihar had allegedly duped farmers of over Rs 100 crore in the name of fish farming.
Police station in-charge told the media, “This is the fifth case filed against the three accused Prahlad Sharma (49), his son Shubham Sharma (26) and Brijendra Kumar Kashyap who were also arrested by Kohefiza police in the month of March”.
The police added that the three women had approached police and filed their complaints that they had deposited Rs 5.50 lakh each to the Fish Fortune Produce Company. They were promised by Gayatri Parihar that they will be going to get double the amount invested and also the seed for fish farming.
The three had taken private land and had constructed a pond for fish farming, but the fraudsters never provided the seed and also the returns.
Fed up with the problem, they approached the police and filed complaints. The police added that the three are in jail as they were arrested in the month of March.
