Gujarat: Three friends on way to Pavagadh die in accident

VADODARA: Three students of a private institute, who were on their way to Pavagadh, died on the spot when their motorcycle crashed into a parked tanker on Halol Road early on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Jayendra Patel of Degavala village in Devgadh Baria taluka of Dahod district, Virendra Gohil from Gangardi village of Garbada taluka in Dahod district and Ronak Parmar from Limadiya village in Lunawada taluka of Mahisagar.
Six students had left for Pavagadh early morning on two bikes. Jayendra, Virendra and Ronak were commuting on one motorcycle while three others – Kartik Harijan, Pragnesh Bamaniya and Upendra Patel – were commuting on another.
In an offence filed at the Halol rural police station, Kartik stated that none of the tanker’s parking lights were on and there was light rain too when the accident happened.
The 108 emergency services paramedics declared them dead on the spot. The tanker driver, meanwhile, escaped with the vehicle after the accident.
