Seoni Malwa (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed an election rally while campaigning for party corporator candidates at Jaistambh Chowk here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he praised the tenure of Rajendra Jain saying that Jain had worked for the city's development. Chouhan said that it was their duty to cast votes in a democracy. Therefore, he reached Jait village in Budhni and casted his vote, he said.
Congress's Kamal Nath is roaming all over the state and talking about voting for the Congress, but he himself did not cast his vote. He said that no development work was done in the tenure of the 15-month Congress government. In the name of development, they kept saying that there is no money. Does it suit the Chief Minister? But I have no shortage of money, he said.
During his address, women said that they did not have pattas of land. In response, he would give patta to everyone. No poor will remain without a lease. We have prepared Chief Minister Bhoomi Adhikar Yojana, which will be implemented after the election. About 21,000 acres of land has been freed from the land mafia of the state worth Rs 15,000 crore. In 3 years, everyone's house will be built. Ration cards will be given to eligible poor.
He further said that Kamal Nath had stopped the Sambal Yojana, which his government revived. Those present included former minister Sartaj Singh, former assembly speaker Sitasharan Sharma, Mahila Morcha state president Maya Narolia, Kisan Morcha state president Darshan Singh, MP Rao Uday Pratap Singh, MLA PremshankarVerma, BJP district president Madhav Das Agarwal, former municipality chairman Rajendra Jain were present on the occasion.
