As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme, Central Bank of India team defeated Axis Bank by 84 runs by participating in the InterBank Tournament on July 3, 2022 in 25 overs match on behalf of Central Bank of India, Aurangabad Regional Office. Team captain Sandeep Kothambare won the toss and elected to bat first. Manoj Kumar Singh, Regional Head, Regional Office, Aurangabad, made significant contributions as a team mentor and highlighted the importance of sports in daily life. The AKAM Coordinator, Baijnath Prasad described the game as very important in daily life, especially for the banker to stay healthy and fit.
