Three die in rain-related incidents in central Gujarat

VADODARA: Three persons died in central Gujarat in rain related incidents on Friday. The deaths include two because of a house collapse in a village in Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar district and one when lightening struck in a village in Shehra taluka of Panchmahal district.
Savita Parghi (56) and her granddaughter Srushti Parghi (2) died in the Khedapa village of Santrampur taluka in Mahisagar district when the kutcha house they used to stay in collapsed.
Savita’s husband Kodar (57) was injured in the incident that took place in the early hours on Friday.
Harshad Machhi (15) died when lightening struck in the Saadra village of Shehra taluka in Panchmahal village. His body was taken for an autopsy after the incident. Machhi was returning home from his farm when the incident took place.
