Pahadgarh/Morena (Madhya Pradesh): The terror of bulldozers razing ill-gotten properties is haunting the criminals of the state in the ongoing panchayat and civic body elections as this fear drastically brought down poll-related violence. The men-in-khaki in Chambal range are taking the advantage of bulldozers to tighten the noose around law-breakers during polling and also to install a sense of fear among them.

Similarly, Pahadgarh police also took assistance from bulldozers and a bulldozer rally was taken out by them to ensure peaceful voting in the third and final phase of the three-tier panchayat elections. Its fear was clearly seen in the unruly elements. Even the supporters of the candidates remained 100 metres away from the polling booth. Because of this, the voters kept voting freely.

In the duration of seven hours, around 70 to 80 percent of voters exercised their franchise in many polling stations. Heavy police force has been deployed since morning at these polling stations of Kanhar Gram Panchayat. Due to this, polling was peaceful.

ADM Narottam Bhargava, ASP Dr Raisingh Narwaria along with police personnel inspected polling stations of Pahargarh Janpad Panchayat area. The miscreants who gathered near polling stations at many places were chased away by the police force.
