Idemitsu expects to finish Hokkaido refinery maintenance in August
TOKYO : Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co expects to complete minor maintenance at its Hokkaido refinery in northern Japan by early or mid-August, a company spokesperson said on Friday.
The turnaround started in late May, she said, without indicating whether the 150,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude distillation unit (CDU) has been shut as part of the work.
An RIM Intelligence report had said the unit was shut on May 30 and was expected to restart in late July.
The Idemitsu spokesperson declined to comment on the report.
