CM virtually attends Industrial Corridor Monitoring Authority meet from Jabalpur

Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 11 industrial corridors that would change the fate and picture of the states.

Chouhan on Thursday virtually attended from Jabalpur a meeting of the first meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority for the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme being presided over by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

CM said that the presentation of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor has shown that Madhya Pradesh has worked at a fast pace.

Chouhan said 202 acres of land has been allotted to Vikram Udyogpuri where 20 industrialists have also taken land and many have started the work, he said, adding that one if the company will start production in November.

Applications from 15 companies have been received, and land will be allotted very soon, said the chief minister.

The government will take all necessary steps to ensure development of Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain. Industrialists will not face any difficulty, he added.

He said that the work of allotting land has begun by identifying different clusters in Madhya Pradesh. A proposal on Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor has to be prepared on priority keeping in mind the industries of Morena, Gwalior, Guna, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Betul and Nagpur. CM said that apart from Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor, Varanasi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor has been proposed, the eastern Madhya Pradesh which is falling under the corridor has abundant mineral resources like aluminum, coal and other minerals.

If East MP is connected with West then better road connectivity and market will be developed in the region, said Chouhan. The work will be done in Madhya Pradesh within a stipulated time frame, said Chouhan, adding that the state government was taking steps to fulfill the dreams of the Prime Minister.
