The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) area received an average of 133 mm of rainfall from Wednesday 8.30 am to Thursday 8.30 am. The maximum rainfall was reported in the Nerul ward with 142.4 mm. The civic jurisdiction also witnessed 11 trees fall, one short circuit, five fire calls and waterlogging at one place on Wednesday.
As per the Disaster Management of CIDCO, there was waterlogging on Tuesday near Vahal village along the Belapur-Uran highway. The stretch has been closed for traffic. Now, vehicles are using the flyover to cross the stretch and using a U- turn to go to Ulwe node.
